RESTORED ADMIRAL 60's CONSOLE STEREO

This stunning console stereo was made in Chicago, IL in 1960. The most unusual feature is the hinged and removable speakers.  The speakers swivel up to 90 degrees and by removing one retaining nut, they can be separated up to 20 feet apart.  Each speaker cabinet contains an 8” woofer and two 3” tweeters.

The vacuum tube receiver features an AM/FM stereo tuner and twin 10 watt EL84 power amplifiers with separate bass and treble controls.

The fully automatic record changer plays all four speeds, and includes the original 45 rpm adapter.

The record changer was fully rebuilt and serviced.  A new cartridge and needle was installed for long record life.  All switches and controls cleaned.  All paper and filter capacitors are new along with a matched pair of output tubes. The 8” woofers are new.  The cabinet and speakers were re-finished matching the original stains and multiple coats of hand-rubbed finish applied.

This stereo even has an auxiliary input for a tape deck, CD, or MP3 player for the ultimate in versatility.

This fabulous 1960’s console is offered with local delivery and a 90 day limited warranty for only $1195.00*SOLD

SILVERTONE “DICE” STEREO SYSTEM

This is one of the most unusual record players from the 1970s. Styled like a pair of dice, these 17" cubes are furniture, game tables, and a solid state stereo system all “rolled” into one. Wooden construction covered in black Tolex with white vinyl "spots".

Removing the cushions, exposes the chess / checker playing tables.

Lifting the lid of the main unit, exposes the 4 speed record changer with automatic record size sensing, and stereo amplifier. The 45 rpm adapter is included under the lid.

Under the lid of the external speaker, is the area for game pieces or record storage.

Both units house a bottom-firing speaker with a sound diffuser and are on wheels. This set is fully restored with new casters, new capacitors in the amplifier, fully rebuilt changer, a resurfaced drive tire, and new needle.
